My Electric Guitars

  1. Fender Stratocaster 1957 reissue (1991 US) - Two tone sunburst. I got this guitar while I was at Berklee. I recently replaced the pickups with a set of Lindy Fralin vintage hots (w/ bass plate on the bridge pickup). Sound = awesome.
  2. Steinberger GM4TA (1988 w/ trans trem !!) - Reeves Gabrels got me into Steinbergers. This one has EMG 89 in the bridge, SA's in the middle & neck positions.
  3. Steinberger GR4R (1990) - Similar to a GM Steinberger w/ R-trem, Seymour Duncan pickups (Custom/Custom bridge, Hot Rails middle & neck pos) & that great-playing graphite neck.
  4. Steinberger GM 4A 12 string (1989) - H-S-S active EMG's. I found this rare guitar at Drome Sound in Albany NY. Reeves Gabrels has the only other 12 string Steinberger I've seen.
  5. Fernandes Decade Sustainer - Looks like a Fender Jaguar or Jazzmaster. 2 Humbuckers, vintage strat style tremolo & the incredible Fernandes sustainer.
  6. Fernandes Decade Deluxe - A birthday present from my wife Kimi (Thanks! xoxo). I love the decade sustainer guitar so much I had to get another one. This one's in seafoam green. I added Seymour Duncan pickups (Duckbucker, Cool Rails, & Little '59)
  7. Jackson Strat (1989 USA) - Floyd Rose tremolo, reverse headstock & unfinished neck. Huge frets, flat radius & thin neck make this a great shredding or tapping machine. DiMarzio Megadrive in bridge & Fast Track in neck pos. My main Berklee guitar.

  8. Charvel Standard - Soloist style body with Seymour Duncan JB (bridge) & Jazz (neck) pickups. 24 frets w/ maple fingerboard & 2 point modern strat style fulcrum tremolo. This one's blue.

  9. Charvel Standard - same as above, but this one's in black & has a coil tap. The volume pot crapped out on me within a month, so I installed an Allparts push pull volume pot to tap the coils for a traditional Strat tone too.

  10. Epiphone WildKat Deluxe - Semi hollow mahogany body with a laminated maple top. 2 screaming alnico P90s & Bigsby trem. Limited-edition metallic red finish. Looks, sounds, & plays great.
  11. Epiphone Supernova - My 30th birthday present from my girlfriend Kimi, Jeff Bruner & friends. Awesome semi-hollow 335 style electric guitar.
  12. Epiphone Les Paul - Purple sparkle finish. Guitar was damaged in the July 7th accident (neck cracked at headstock). Fortunately, it was fixed by Chuck Horton.

  13. Danelectro Hodad - Reverse Ventures style body. 2 Lipstick tube humbuckers with coil tap & phase switch. Metallic red finish.

  14. Squier Stagemaster 7 string- 2 humbuckers & hardtail bridge. Metallic black finish, black hardware, & painted reverse Fender headstock. (thanks Mike)

Acoustic Guitars

  1. Takamine EF510FM LD - Acoustic electric
  2. Jose Ramirez R1 (1997) - Nylon string Spanish guitar 
  3. Ferrington KFT2 (1991) acoustic electric - Telecaster-shaped acoustic guitar. Similar to the Kramer Ferrington models of the late '80s.

  4. Fender FB-54 - 5 string banjo

  1. Fender Princeton (blackface) 1965 - I picked this up in Boston in the early 90's. I've used it on many of my recording sessions over the years.
  2. Fender Bassman head (blackface) 1967 - I picked this up in Boston too. Great Fender tone at a much louder volume

  3. Marshall JCM 800 - model 4010: 50 watts 1x12 combo w/ EL34's

  4. Mesa/Boogie Rocket 44 - 40 watts 1x 12 combo w/ 4 x EL84's. Great tube tone. 2 channels, rhythm / lead / contour sounds footswitchable. Thanks Atlanta Vintage Guitars for saving my baby.  
  5. Mesa/Boogie 4x12 stereo speaker cab w/flight case - I used to have a rack-mounted Mesa/Boogie amp. (It was the early 90's: bigger rack = better). I purchased the flight case from Reeves Gabrels. The flight case can be seen in the "One Shot" Tin Machine music video
